Most Rev. John E. Keehner

Most Rev. John E. Keehner is the eighth bishop of the Diocese of Sioux City. He is originally from the Diocese of Youngstown, Ohio.
The Holy Father announced the appointment Feb. 12, 2025.
He was ordained May 1, 2025 at the Cathedral of the Epiphany in Sioux City.
For his episcopal motto, he selected the words of his patron saint, St. John the Baptist: He must increase; I must decrease.
