Chief of Staff, Special Assistant to the Bishop and Director of Pastoral Planning

Assist the Bishop with his goals and initiatives, with particular attention to administrative liaison of Chancery staff.  Direct and lead Diocesan-wide efforts to implement the goals of Pastoral Planning fully and consistently.  Collaborate with Diocesan Staff in promoting our Gospel Mission and implementation of Bishop’s Pastoral Letter.

• Chief of Staff supervises/oversees the following Departments/Ministries/Services: 

• Chancellor
• Office of Faith Formation
• Multicultural Ministries
• Safe Environment
• Pro-Life/Peace and Justice
• Pastoral Planning

• The Chief of Staff serves/collaborates/is an observer on the following boards:
   
  • Diocesan Finance Council
  • Diocesan Review Board
  • Pastoral Planning Board
  • Iowa Catholic Conference Immigration Subcommittee
  • Catholic School Foundation
  • Catholic Charities Board
  • Senior Staff
  • Presbyteral Council
  • Priests Personnel Board
